Hi, I’m in Bali right now. We went to the monkey forest, the reptile park, the bird park, the beach, and a cafe with some other worldschoolers. It has been great being here. We have a pool at our house. Also, I made some friends with other kids worldschooling. On Thursday we are going to a waterpark. I’m super excited for that. One of my new friends told me there is a slide that has a straight drop and then goes into a swirl.

My favorite thing we have done so far is the Bali Bird Park. I got to hold a lot of birds and feed pelicans, ducks, and even a Komodo dragon! Did you know Komodo dragons only eat twice a week because they have very slow digestion? I got chosen to dress up and feed all the ducks for the bird show. Did you know some birds aren’t raptors even though they do eat meat? Some birds eat nuts, fruits, and seeds though.

In the reptile park, we got to hold a python. His name was Jack! There were a lot of venomous snakes and a lot of lizards. I got to pet a tortoise and hold a turtle. We got to go into a tunnel filled with snakes….they were in cages though. The saltwater crocodiles were huge and scary. They were named Happy Meal, Lucky, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Bruce Lee.

At our house, we have Tokay geckos and Chichak geckos, They are named that because of the noises they make. We also have some big bees and butterflies because we have a lot of flowers. We swim a lot and played hide and seek at night. We have a lot of bats here and its fun to watch them swoop around over the rice paddy.

The beach was awesome. We got to find many things, even a sea snake. It was coming after me and Micah fought it off. Thanks to Micah for maybe saving my life. We found some sea cucumbers and they felt like gummy bears. I found a crab and I saved it. Then, it didn’t want to come off of me but I had to leave it in the ocean so I could go back home.
