I love Bali, I know I haven’t exactly been anywhere else, but until I do, I’m gonna agree with Wren and say that Bali is the “best place on earth!” We’ve gone to a water park since my last entry and you best believe that’s what this entry is gonna be about.

For the actual water park part, Waterbom surely lives up to it’s title of “The best water park in Asia.” The slides are fun and well engineered, the food is great and not too highly priced, (but that’s coming from an American stance) and the workers actually seem like a they enjoy their jobs. Jack and I went down the same slide like five times, and everytime Jack got to the bottom, the lifeguard had a secret handshake that they’d do, just a fun little thing to make your water park experience that much better. The people were understanding, funny, and just plain awesome. Compared to Boulder Beach at home, it was the best water park in the world, but I’ll have to keep you updated on that one.

I’m allergic to chlorine, it dries out my skin and gives me eczema. That’s why I can’t swim at all at Boulder Beach, they have too much chlorine. Waterbom obviously still had chlorine, but not nearly as much. All I had to do after playing there for the whole day was take a shower to get the water off me and I was fine…if you don’t count the blisters on my foot…but, that’s not my fault! It’s always happened on my hands, never my feet, so I wasn’t exactly focused on washing my feet as well as I washed my hands.
The other best part of Waterbom was that we met up with a bunch of other world schoolers and most of them were around my age. The girls immediately came up to me and started asking questions, like where I was from, how long I’d been in Bali, how long I was staying, my favorite things, ect. They immediately made me feel welcome. Kids that travel are generally so much nicer than the kids I grew up around. It’s a nice change of pace.

All and all, Waterbom is high up on my favorite things we’ve done, it might be my favorite. The best ride there, in my humble opinion, is the Climax. It’s one of those waterslides that they drop you on, and this drop sends you down, then up…into a loop-de-loop. It went on it around ten times. It made my head hurt a bit, but it was so worth it.
10/10, would gladly do it again.
