The first place we went to in Vietnam was the Bamboo Circus. The Bamboo Circus was an interesting display of aerobic exercises. The first part was were they had a big bamboo cone, the base of the cone was a sort of basket shape. There were also 4 bamboo rods connected to the basket and got smaller to make a point. If you go to Hoi An, I recommend it, because there were more awesome things they did.

The second thing we did, was go to Marble Mountain. At Marble Mountain we went inside the mountain, where we learned about the underworld. The underworld area was pretty cool, but a little spooky. But then we went to the top of the mountain, which was a nice view of Da Nang.

One of my favorite things was the cooking class. During the cooking class we made lanterns, went to the local market, went in basket boats, and cooked food. My favorite part was eating the food, because it was some super delicious Vietnamese food. My favorite we made was Cao Lau which is a Hoi An exclusive dish. The reason it is exclusive to Hoi An is because only one family knows the recipe for the noodles, and then keep it top secret and only sell them at the market.

One of the weekly things we did was dungeons and dragons. D&D was ran by a girl named Lucky. She was really kind, patient, and an all around cool person. I felt bad for her though because at one point it was just me and this other kid because all of my other siblings got bored. D&D was located at a nice cafe with a lot of board games, you just have to buy a drink and you will be allowed to play them all.

We went to this place called Sun World. In Sun world there was the 18th largest Farris Wheel in the world. It was kind of funny to me that almost all the rides were carnival rides. My favorite ride was one called Paradise falls. The ride kind of scared me because I thought it was going to start slow then go faster but it started super fast and maintained that speed the entire time.

The place I was most excited for was Vin Wonders. The reason I wanted to go to Vin Wonders was because it was a zoo, a waterpark, an arcade, and rides. The sad part was it was raining so they closed the rides. The good thing is the rides opened at the end. I was not a big fan of the water park because all the cool rides were 4 people, and Autumn and Micah didn’t want to go to the water park, and everyone else was too small except Terrell.

The last thing I did in Vietnam was a wood carving class. It was really cool walking in because they had wood carved anime statues and Marvel statues. They also have a Youtube channel, the channel is called Vietnam wood carving. Micah got scared when we walked past a gigantic statue of a praying mantis. Then during the class I made a Psyduck carving.

In Vietnam we had a lot more rest days, which means days with no activities. So we only ate out like 4 or 5 times which sounds pretty spoiled of me to say, but it was pretty cheap in Vietnam. The nice thing was the take out was really good we had a baguette sandwich called a bahn mi, they were really generous with the flavor in those sandwiches. We also had a soup called Cao Lau which i mentioned in an earlier paragraph.

I’ve also made huge progress on Duolingo, right now I’m on section two unit three. Which Autumn didn’t seem very impressed by, because Wren spoke gibberish and got it right, but I still find it impressive because I’m six units ahead of everyone else and I still have my streak, which, by the way, is a fifty-eight day streak (currently).
